My name is Mathias Nilsson.

I got my very first DLSR from my amazingly supportive aunt in 2010, and since then I've been hooked. I love photography, it felt like a whole new world opened up for me when I had the camera in my hand. I could wander everywhere, high and low, and take pictures of anything... and to be honest, they probably weren't very good pictures, but I loved the creativity the camera gave me.

 

After a while, the mobile phone came with better cameras, and the clumsy system camera with a whopping 12 megapixels and a measly 4 gigabyte memory card ended up on the shelf for a while. Until 2022, I had taken so many pictures that I wanted to print some and have them as paintings, but unfortunately the quality was so bad that they had to stay in the mobile phone. Every now and then I thought that I am starting to know this, so I took a basic course in photography to really learn the functions of the camera, image composition and lighting.

 

This was so much fun!

 

I got a new camera, and now I haven't been able to think about anything but what the next picture should be. Could the next one be "a better picture"?
